Looks like we’re going to be eating crow; with a name like lawyersout.com, it’s a little strange to be recommending they hire more judges, but that is what, is needed. Three judges per case would be our recommendation, that may seem excessive, Now think of what is at stake. Someone’s freedom, maybe their life will be ended. The cost of two more paychecks to make sure everything is done all right, is unimportant. We are not suggesting two more added to the bench in a traditional court room. No, that would be wasted money. We are proposing a digital court that can have multiple judges that have no connection with each other. They all can assess the evidence presented separately, individually in different locations, and at different times. They all act as though they were the only judge hearing the case; they would give their verdict without knowledge of how the other judges decided. They then can be compared for a final ruling. It could be modeled after our simple justice court or something similar. With three judges looking and not influenced by the other judges; it might prevent some of the ridiculous mistakes that have occurred and led to innocent people paying the price. This method could help identify bad judges so they could be eliminated.
