  Jury

Simple Justice Court is digital. Everything the jury will see, or hear, is from a recording that the litigants have made, and the judge has sanctioned. To prevent prejudgment, and for security concerns, the jury, the judge, and the parties of both sides of the case; never see each other, and never meet. It would be possible for the plaintiff and defendant, to use alias names or numbers to disguise their identity further. Since the jury will never see the defendant, bigotry should not determine their decision. The jury will receive the digital file, from the clerk’s office; that contains the entire case. The judge has included the jury instructions. The jury assembles at the courthouse, open or plays the files, and Watch the case unfold before their eyes. They deliberate the case, give their verdict as a group and go home, as usual. That would not be taking full advantage of a digital court with a digital court; it would be possible for the jury, not to assemble as a group. Each jury member can review the case from any place they choose; home, work or vacation, anyplace, any time day or night, indoors or outdoors, maybe at the beach. They don’t have to miss work, or arrange for someone to take care of the kids. They don’t have to wait in long lines at the courthouse, be searched for weapons or be exposed to danger, from people that are not happy with the justice system. With a digital court, the individual jury member is in control of the volume, they have the best view there can be, and they can rewind and review previous viewed parts. They don’t have to feel guilty, about going to the bathroom, and interrupting the proceedings. They can get comfortable. Since the jury is not inconvenience by being at the courthouse, when they would rather be at work or at play, their decision would not be influenced by anger; one more reason the jury should not gather. It should be 12 individual thinkers, independent of each other, not the wishes of a few bullies that can dominate the group. When the jurors have finished their deliberation they contact the court and give their decision, The End. A digital file can be played and watched by as many people that have access to it. We are not suggesting that more than 12 jurors are needed, but it would be possible; No constraints by the size of the jury box in the courtroom, with a digital court.

It might someday be possible that people would request jury duty, and it could be set up where the person would receive the case in the mail like a magazine subscription; If the case could be considered entertainment and not intrusive on their lives. People would take an interest in doing their civic duty, if the government would stop treating the jury so badly and concentrate on conducting a fairer trial. We might get the justice system we deserve. Simple justice court is using the same court personnel working today with the same laws legislated by our lawmakers to weed out the undesirable’s that have tainted our justice system. And at the same time render a verdict in the case that represent the law equally if compared with other judge’s decisions.

Testing will of course be required. Simple Justice Court is ready now. Please contact our government and demand an upgrade to our broken justice system.
